jweiss pointed out to me that GX1's have long ago been purged from the
clusters, and are officially pronounced dead in the Lifecycle Summary
page.

Perhaps it is time to remove it from the test cluster? My guess is that
it will be looked upon as dead by the MIT Property Office in May of this
year. (Assuming I'm reading Stella right for its purchase date, and
that the Property Office uses a 5 year straight line depreciation for
this stuff.)

Why is removing it from the test cluster good? I sends the right
message about dead hardware, it cuts down on the heat radiating into the
Watchmaker Zone, and it frees up a cable and slot in the KVM for
incoming hardware.
