They're a pain to type, a pain to say, and they introduce an ambiguity
as to whether it's an underscore or a dash (it's xss-command and
gnome-config but xstat_fs_test and update_ws). I can understand why
dashes are a pain in the butt, because users are constantly getting
confused and putting spaces before them, but underscores have their own
issues.
