The Athena 9.1.10 patch release is currently scheduled for the evening
of Monday, July 1. Changes include:
* authwatch and grenew will center their windows with
non-GNOME-compliant window managers.
* A new program has been added, gurlview, which displays a URL using
the standard GNOME routine. htmlview may be modified to use it at
some point.
* hostinfo has been fixed to cope with hosts which have MX records
but no A records and to work with the 9.1 host command.
* Some network syslogging has been added to make it easier to count
machines.
* The update to 9.1 should now work when swapping can't be turned
off initially.
* openssh has a fix to tighten a security vulnerability with
Kerberos authentication.
* The xscreensaver screen hacks julia and penrose have been removed
since they trigger bugs in the Solaris X server on some machines.
* The annoying esd error message on login has been squished harder.
* On Solaris, the update to 9.1 has a safety check for sun4m
machines, and the space checks are fixed.
* On IRIX, xfsmd has been turned off, and the mode of
/var/adm/appletalk/icons has been fixed.
* On Linux, the ghostscript RPM and its dependencies were added so
that ImageMagick can do conversions.
* On Linux, the glibc and kernel RPMs were updated to stay current
with Red Hat.
If you have a machine set AUTOUPDATE=false, you can update it manually
after the release goes out by doing a console login as root and
running "update_ws".
