The bug causing the Irix AFS clients to crash has been tracked
down, and a new version of OpenAFS (1.2.5) will be going out shortly to
fix the problem. I've backported the changes to the IBM 3.6p1 source
base, built the result, and verified I can no longer cause the panic I
could previously trivially reproduce.
I sent Greg a pointer to the new client so he can roll it into
a 9.0 patch release. I already told Greg that I'd like the patch to go
to the dev cell while I'm gone, but I don't want to release to the
athena cell until I'm back from Usenix/Cartel.
