I've installed Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 for Sun and Linux and made this the
default for these platforms (an SGI release is not now, and may never be
available).

The 5.0.5 Netscape plugin will be used on Sun and Linux machines if you
have set your Netscape preferences to use the Acrobat plugin. Note that
this will only work for Netscape 4.x; the installation notes state that
it won't work on Netscape 6.x, so when that release becomes available
on Athena you'll need to set Netscape preferences to use the standalone
Acrobat reader if you want to access Acrobat files.

You can still run the prior 4.0.5 release on Sun and Linux by typing:

        add acro
        acroread -ver 4.0.5 &

                                               Alex
