After far longer than expected wrangling Sun idiocies and four nested
layers of mutually disagreeable shell scripts, I have FINALLY gotten the
Sun version of Netscape 6.21 to run in a distributed environment. Maybe.

This Netscape, even more than others, does not like playing in the locker
setup, so any and all testing you do would be useful.

I have not altered the main wrapper scripts yet (this one does things
differently), so for the moment, you will need to run it directly:

/mit/infoagents/arch/sun4m_54/MIT-only/netscape-6.21/netscape

Oh, and this won't be available until after propagation tonight unless you
mount the r/w version of the locker.

A few things you may want to note:

1. Yes, it does take approximately forever to start up.

2. If you habitually run Netscape background (i.e. 'netscape &') like I
do, you should note that this does not seem to work! The Netscape window
appears and vanishes. Poof. Done.

3. Java may be wonky. One of the trickiest things has been getting this
Netscape to look in the java locker for that. Not quite well-tuned yet.

4. Other plugins are missing - still to be installed.

Next up: Linux version.
