Today Andrew and I investigated a report of a DSpace HP Vectra VEi8
system taking the 9.0.25 update and becoming un-bootable.

Apparently there are a few systems out in the world that won't boot the
2.4.9-31 kernel that Red Hat is distributing as the latest, greatest,
and most robust. Red Hat bug 61340 describes our problem, and it is
happening to others.

Question to Release Team: Should we try and do better than Red Hat
here, or should we just try and warn people that the problem exists, and
work to quickly deploy whatever fix Red Hat eventually offers?
