There's something that happened to me that might be relevant to this
situation, and I only just this minute remembered it.
Jonathon will remember one day I popped into his office asking if the
net was having problems, cuz AFS stopped working on my Linux box. He
said he was fine. I rebooted my Linux box and all was well thereafter.
Something ELSE people should, perhaps look for, is people hitting the
reset switch on a cluster machine because AFS wedged due to the
craziness of the Network. (I'm sending this note only to Release Team.
Do people think telling this story to Hotline folk would help or confuse
them?)
