Ok, I know that I am *totally* out of touch with the state of the
release, if one exists, but for the sake of completeness I am passing on
this request from a faculty member.
The request is for shared memory to be turned on for public Athena
workstations (this is currently available on DECstations with the
'capultrix' or 'kangaroo' kernel, and addition be made to /etc/services:
> (2) the /etc/services file needs to assign a socket number

> orasrv 1525/tcp # oracle sqlnet TCP/IP connections

(These changes are necessary to run a particular piece of software,
Arc/Info.) His original request was for the DECstation platform, but
since the future of the DECstation is unclear and the software runs on
Suns and IBMs, he would like to see this on all platforms.
