I'm not quite sure why you picked me (the guy seems to be a postdoc so
faculty kid-gloves aren't strictly necessary), but I'll actually be on
vacation next week when the release goes public -- given that people
often miss a warning like that, it would be probably better if someone
else answers, in case he does have a problem and gets frustrated if he
can't reach a live human.
It looks like he has an 8-bit Ultra5 (i.e., athinfo says its 270MHz,
which Garry says is a reasonable way to guess), so it would be nice for
whoever gets back to him to mention the color issue and how to disable
AUI stuff if he prefers.
