Kevin was working on the hardcopy to go with the release.
The release was out. The first questions about telnet were coming in
to John Chase and hotline. Carla planned to give the consultants some
help with explaining the changes in telnet.
We discussed where tex should "live" (srvd vs. locker). This is an
important question from a number of points of view.
We also discussed AIX 3.2.5 release. If put into the test clusters
soon, we might be able to upgrade everyone towards the end of March.
Solaris AFS 3.3a, Emacs 19, and edsc changes also should be made as
feasible. We thought a grouped release of all these changes would be
good, but believe that getting the AIX 3.2.5 and Solaris AFS changes
out as soon as possible is also desirable.
We also noted that the summer release may be impacted by SGIs. There
also are rumors that reengineering may be introducing another platform.
