thinking about it...

one question.  does the user really want an insecure connection?
the way it is set up, they have to ask for that specifically.

otherwise, the inetd.conf route looks cleanest to me.

it might be worthwhile to remind people that this is interim.
kerberos 5, with forwarding of tickets, etc. will make all this
go away, right?
