We've talked about this briefly before, but I'm not sure I ever really
understood the explanation.  We have a number of cases (emacs and nmh
being two obivious examples) where we have the Red Hat version and the
Athena version of the same package installed.  What is the advantage
to this?  The obivious disadvantages are install/update time and disk
space used.
