Avelino:

Thanks much for setting this meeting up. I think it was very helpful.
Thanks also from dropping by to Release Team today with the toy to
play with. (Since this is a publicly mirrored list, I'm not at liberty to
say what the toy was. People on the CC list can contact me for further
info.)

I look forward to seeing you next week. Let's keep thinking about how
we can make progress on the other two issues, CNBoot and Netscape.

Tom, Steve:

It was great fun to meet with you and talk about the past and current
history of Solaris source. I guess we're all disappointed that Sun's
internal processes aren't yet optimized for the kind of source access
MIT requires.
But I am reassured that you are committed to finding a way to "connect
the dots" for us.

My recollection of our action items are:

wdc: Fax to Tom the Solaris 2.6 license, and the one-pager that was
executed for the Solaris 2.7 11/99 snapshot we received last year.
(This is DONE. Tom should have it waiting for him at is fax machine
now.)

Tom: Investigates what Sun's internal cost of generating this source
will be, and keep in communication with wdc as the pricing evolves. Let
wdc know if some creative way is found to make the cost tiny for MIT.

wdc: When the price is provided, get approval to buy it. If necessary
shepherd an appropriate document through MIT legal.

All: continue to stay in touch.

-wdc

P.S. If it is of value, in going over my notes of last year, a useful
player in the source situation then was Craig Olofson. He may turn out
to be a useful resource again this year. Proceed as you think best.
