It was recently observed to me that root's shell on Athena Linux machines
is bash, and that it by default seems to keep a .bash_history, even on
public workstations.
This is a bit bothersome to me from a privacy standpoint. ("Big brother is
watching you.")
It also represents a relative inconsistency among platforms.
