1. AUI status
Greg got tied up in a gnome-libs issue, but expects to have sawfish
building soon.
There was some usability testing done. We don't have a writeup yet,
but it resulted in a bunch of bug reports, and the users say they
liked it a lot.
2. OS work for 8.5
IRIX: We're currently leaning against doing an upgrade. SGI might
provide better support for a newer version, but upgrading also
historically leads to a lot more problems, so that's kind of a wash.
If we change our minds, we should do so by February 15.
Solaris: Currently gating on having a native Solaris 7 miniroot (which
miki is currently working on) and availability of AFS (which appears
to be already available).
Linux: amb not sure of time allocation. We will revisit in January.
3. IRIX X server bug
We have some files extracted from 6.5.10 which appear to fix the bug.
Different files need to be installed on different machines. We will
put the files in the OS volume, incorporate them into the OS statfile,
and pull them in via the oschanges script.
4. Bleeding-Edge Athena
We have at least one verified interested user (amb), and no one has a
particular objection to the plan. Greg will go ahead and do the work
on that. Still need to figure out how to determine if an RPM has
changed by more than the release number, but that should be
surmountable.
