1. Solaris name_to_major problem
The plan is to check this file but run drvconfig and devlinks after
running os_checkfiles so that the driver configuration agrees with the
name_to_major file. We won't touch the file on PRIVATE machines.
In the mean time, we have put this file on the exceptions list. We
should make sure that change made it to the athena cell.
[Ed. note: Inertia may lead us to simply leave name_to_major on the
exceptions list indefinitely. That may be less error-prone anyway.]
2. Public release
We are still go for Monday. We will propagate 8.4.8 tonight.
3. Periodic reboot?
Thomas suggests that maybe workstations should periodically reboot
since they don't do OS verification at reactivate time. Greg pointed
out that doing OS verification occasionally during reactivate would
work just as well for that purpose. No specific plan of action was
decided on.
4. PUBLIC=false machines
Some number of Linux machines were installed and got PUBLIC=false by
default due to a bug. We can't fix this in a patch release, so we
should figure out what machines are affected. Greg will make a list
of machines to check based on moira info.

been fixed.]
