Apparently, we have deployed some Linux quickstations, and had some
problems because they were installed with 8.3 software which doesn't
support syncconf and has other problems. Garry and I have switched
the default install to 8.4 by repointing the control-current symlink
in the dev and athena cells. If this is expected to cause a problem,
please speak up ASAP.
