Er, some bugs in my mail:
* The subject line is wrong; it should say "alpha," not
"beta."
* It refers to "the 8.3 alpha release" in the fourth paragraph
instead of "the 8.4 alpha release."
* The instructions end with:
# Watch, or go do something else for five minutes or so.
shutdown -y -i6 -g0
You'll probably get bored watching, and you don't have to
issue the shutdown command. You will need to type "exit" at
the shell prompt which comes up after reboot, though.
