I tried SGI's suggested workaround, i.e. to set the kernel parameter
add_kthread_stack to 4096, and the kernel still panic'ed when I forced
a core dump of netscape to local disk.  (Setting it to 40960 also was no
help).  I'll see if they have any other suggestions...

I tried browsing the Transarc web site for mention of the problem, until
netscape got a bus error, and I was then unable to reconnect to the site.
Seems appropriate, somehow.
