I just wanted to drop a quick note to reconfirm that we
will have install floppies and instructions ready by Monday for
the deployment of the 10 pilot Linux Athena PCs.
At the release team Heather-Anne Harrison signed up to do
the appropriate one page sheet to put with each system to describe
how it is DIFFERENT. This too will be ready by Monday.
Brian:
Are there any other things your team needs from us that is an obstacle
to deployment on or very soon after next Monday?
In a related story:
The Linux Athena test cluster machine should be installed to replace
the Sparc Classic dig-dug. dig-dug can be decomissioned since
we're now completely out of the Classic business.
