This is a reminder that an Athena patch release is scheduled for this
evening. We've made a couple of changes since the previous
announcement and upped the patch release number, so it is 8.3.19
instead of 8.3.18. Changes in this patch release include (the first
two are the new ones):
* sendmail will send bounces with an envelope from address, so
they won't get bounced in turn by outgoing. (At least if
the machine is in the mit.edu domain.)
* xscreensaver won't allow people to unlock it with the root
password.
* detach will exit with an error status when it fails.
* xss will display the idle time in a less ambiguous manner.
* detach -H works now.
* Some workarounds have been applied so that SGI machines
which hang during reactivate will be less likely to need a
reinstall.
* If you su with no options, /usr/athena/bin/passwd will
default to operating on the user you have su'd to rather
than the user you were.
* On Solaris, dm will run console with the -nosession flag so
that it doesn't get included in session management.
* show will handle message/rfc822 MIME messages better.
