This is a reminder that the Athena 8.3.17 patch release is scheduled
for this evening. Changes include:
* named configuration has been reverted to the 8.2 versions,
fixing the "Unable to set your group access list" error and
a couple of syslogs at startup time.
* ftpd supports a new command, AKLG, and has an
error-reporting fix for the ATCH command.
* bashrc uses = in tests where it used == (which works in our
version of bash, but is bad form).
* The dotfiles have been modified to limit the coredumpsize
under IRIX (where resource limits are reset by xterm).
* A bug was fixed in inetd which could result in machines
being access_on while thinking they were access_off.
* ksrvutil won't dump core when reading a password.
* The PATH for the lprng Hesiod lookup script is more
complete. (No visible difference.)
* lpc will send the correct queue name to the print server.
* lpq to a laserwriter will no longer spuriously report "no
network support for request."
* lpr -z should work now.
* fsid -v is implemented.
* Sun patches 105210-24 and 107991-01 were applied to fix
security holes.
