In case you've forgotten, we have a meeting scheduled for Thursday, Oct
27th at 10:30 in E40-316, at which time we will begin sorting through
the suggestion list. We currently have over 50 suggestions and
therefore cannot spend a lot of time talking about the details of each
one now. Instead, I would like to use these next 1-2 meetings to do
some triage on the list and break the suggestions into some broad
categories.

On this first pass, we should first clarify what the suggestion means.
Some are obvious (Ultrix 4.3) but other are not, and we should all have
some idea what we're talking about. Again, we don't have time to go
into great detail on this pass, but questions can either be handled
outside of the meeting or at a future meeting when we get into more
specifics.

In addition to clarifying suggestions, let's flag items as

	* Candidates for releasing in January

	* "Bug fix" or new feature/item

	* Whether we have sufficient knowledge about the item and/or its
affects in our environment or if it needs research first. For
instance, consider the question of a new shell. Perhaps we
need more specific information about what would change and how
it would affect everyone before we could decide on whether to
	  make the change or not.

	* Any definite pros or cons (i.e. suggestions which just don't
make any sense or are obviously needed)

If we start on time and stay focused we may actually make it through the
entire list and still get out before noon.

See you all Thursday,

		Dot
