Camilla and I did another cluster walk-through this morning to
see how the Indys had fared taking the 8.3 release. As of 8am, all of
the public cluster Indys that weren't logged into or down with unrelated
problems (4 of them) had finished taking the update. The only data
point I've collected for time taken to update is steve-dallas, an R5000
in the sipb office, which took about 4 hours to finish updating; this
seems unusually long.
Several people observed network slowness last night while the
Indys were updating, and some of the w20 subnets bounced on the NOC at
least once. Speculation was that the Indys updating was causing this,
so it seems that the decision to have each platform update on a seperate
night was a good idea.
