8.2.20 will be released at 3:00pm today for the HPUX and Digital Unix
platforms. The RS-6000 platform release will follow in three to six
months.

Changes in this patch release include:

	* To improve usability by left-handed Athena users, horizontal
mouse movement controls have been reversed, so the mouse
cursor will move to the right when the mouse moves to the
left and vice versa. To revert this new behavior, simply
	  enter the command "logout".

	* The print filter software has been modified to trigger a
loud siren noise on the printer when it detects the printing
	  of obscene pictures.

	* attach will no longer run without a $2 donation to the
	  Committe for Better Release-Engineer Living.

	* In the login screen, the Athena owl has been replaced by a
	  truck driver named Bubba.

	* HP patch HC000212 has been installed, to fix a security hole
	  in the "true" command.

Unlike previous releases, workstations will take the 8.2.20 update
even if users are logged in at the time, or if the machine has
AUTOUPDATE set to false. You may wish to save your emacs buffers more
frequently than usual this afternoon.

Questions and comments should go to release-team@mit.edu.
