There are 1071 suns in the DNS and in moira that are in either the
public or early sun clusters. I considered alpha and beta test
machines to be beyond the scope of this test, since they use packs
from the dev cell that already have the 8.2.17 patch.
1071 total machines
135 of these failed to respond to SNMP
7 appear to be non-Athena machines
929 total Athena Suns
611 are PUBLIC=true (which forces AUTOUPDATE=true)
245 are PUBLIC=false, but AUTOUPDATE=true
73 are PUBLIC=false, and AUTOUPDATE=false
My result file can be found in /mit/release/R8.2/private-hosts.
FWIW 21 of the 73 hosts are not even running 8.2 at all (1 at 7.7,
4 at 8.0, and 16 at 8.1).
