Hi!
I'm sorry, but I'm not quite sure where else to ask these....
Have the font names for LaTeX changed? Some of the consultants seem to
be solving some people's problems by suggesting that they make changes
in the names of the font (like from "newcen" to "ncs"). If so, is
there a list of the old and new names anywhere?
Does anyone know if a TEXFONTS environment variable needs to be
changed? I've seen people say that people need to put a : at the end
of that too; is that true?
And what about xdvi? Does anyone know if the xdvi in the sipb locker
is still supposed to work? I've seen quite a few questions about xdvi
not working; it usually turned out that people were using the sipb
version and having them use the standard one worked better. I don't
know if there is an actual bug or if it's just kind of a yrrej reztlas
problem. If I knew for sure I'd send it a bug report somewhere, but
I'd like to know if anyone else knew of any problems.
I also just had another person complain because login was hanging; it
turned out that she also had zwgc in her .startup.X. I guess next time
we should make a list of things we would never do with our dotfiles,
and test those.
