The Athena 8.2.10 patch release is scheduled to be deployed on Monday
night 9/21/98 for all platforms. Changes include:
* The zctl unhide behavior has been reverted to the 8.1
behavior: always set exposure to realm-visible.
* A bug was fixed with outgoing encrypted rcp to krb4 hosts.
* telnetd -e should now work with NCSA telnet.
* ftp should now properly do CNS-style krb4 authentication.
* The SGI root dotfiles no longer set the DISPLAY environment
variable, since they were doing it wrong.
* Locally delivered mail is now delivered before name
resolution is performed, so that machines off the network
can still deliver local mail.
* On Solaris, the Athena xterm X resources should now apply to
root logins and terminal-style logins.
* On Solaris, fgrep is now on local disk.
* On Solaris, the XIE server module is now a symlink into AFS,
to save space.
* On Solaris, OpenGL support was added (packages SUNWffbgl,
SUNWglh, SUNWglrt, SUNWglrtu, SUNWglut, SUNWglwh,
SUNWglwrt).
* On Solaris, patches 105361-05, 105363-09, and 106022-04 were
installed to update support for the Elite 3D frame buffer.
* On Solaris, patch 106439-02 was installed to make syslogd
not die on repeated HUPs (such as those sent by newsyslog).
