2. SGI Biosym problem
~25 libraries incorrectly linked due to basic problem in SGI install. It
assumes single architecture for symlinking. Bob has work around; Bill and
Bob will let SGI know that this is broken.
3. Xhost socket name:0.0
x11r6 provides tcp connections to localhost and name of machine (ip
address). This has security risks.
May be fixable by using xauth
Could do in fall (with risk of breaking some packages) or during IAP.
After discussion, we recommend moving ahead with this. Although there is a
risk that some packages may use this, we believe there is a relatively
simple work around (have a wrapper do a xhost machine name: 0.0).
Will do extra effort to test and let people know this is coming.
4. Bug in 8. 1 ethernet patch driver

I ran off, but Bill was starting a discussion on removing CNBOOT from the
sun installation.
