* Heather brought in a draft of the user release notes. We
found some typos and formatting errors, and suggested a
couple of additional items (power saving, IRIX compiler
upgrade).
* The O2s in 4-035 have been hanging. We put ten of them in
early so that they will take 8.2, which we believe will fix
the problem (due to an ethernet driver patch included in
the 8.2 release). As soon as we determine that those ten
machines have stopped hanging, we'll put the rest of the
cluster into early. We are not going to patch 8.1, though,
since we're so close to the public release of 8.2.
* 8.2 is still scheduled to go public at the end of this
month. 8.2.7 went out to the Athena cell yesterday; the
sshd XAUTHORITY fix accidentally didn't make it in. 8.2.8
will go out to the Athena cell in about two weeks (right
about the time of the public release) to fix another round
of bugs.
* We believe that mkserv knfs works on 8.2 now.
* The system release notes should talk about ksu changes.
* Bill wants the release to have a feature for managing
multiple ticket files.
