Hi Matt,
Thanks for pointing out the recent CERT advisory concerning sendmail
vulnerabilities. After consulting with relevant DCNS staff and release
7.7 team members, and speaking for the release team, I have decided that
we will not fix these problems as part of release 7.7. This decision is
based on both the available information concerning the advisories and
how they affect our environment, and the current state of release 7.7
(i.e. less than two weeks to targeted field release). This is not to
say that the matter is completely closed, only that release 7.7 will not
address it.
