The schedule is not terribly well-defined at this point. We went to
Alpha on the Sun about April 17, so we should be able to go to beta at
any time. The major bug I'm worried about is timekeeping problems
people have reported; I hope setting nosynctodr will fix that, but I
haven't gotten any empirical results yet.
On the Indy, I haven't heard of any critical bugs. We went to alpha
on April 28, so we should wait until May 26 or so to go to beta.
On the O2, we can probably go to beta about a week after we put in
Bob's most recent set of changes.
Why does the root password change have much to do with the 8.2 beta
release schedule?
