1. New Root Password

We believe a new root password would be good. Changing this involves:
	- pick a new password
	- change tellme
	- announce the change
	- pick a date for the changeover (after finals, before early
test?)

jweiss is going to work on this

2. K5 KDC and the release

The release depends on the master K5 KDC changeover. if this isn't
changed, users won't be able to change their passwords or if you
change it using an 8.1 machine, you won't be able to login for 24
hours--i.e., we really need this.
Options:
a. hold the release for the K5 KDC changeover (which is expected
following crunch time). if they have problems, add in code to provide
support (which must be removed at a later date). Drawback: we may
need to shorten test times.

We've elected to go this route. One helpful thing for wdc and mbarker
to do is dig up support for testing Windows programs that may have
trouble with the K5 changeover, as this is a problem for the K5 team
and could delay the changeover.

b. (not chosen) Go ahead now with adding the code to provide support.

jweiss needs to ping matt about Athena cell space for 6.3? (I don't
understand my own note, so I hope jweiss knows what it was about)

6.2 should be ready for alpha this week (and according to my console
window, it is available now)

3. Swap partition

5.3 apparently had 150 (partition) + 100 (extra) + 100 (virtual swap)
6.2 we'll look at 256
6.3 (O2s all have 4G disks) we'll look at 512

4. Ultra 5/10 news

	- we're close to netboot
	- SUN should provide prom fix
	- we'll probably have a mix of 5s and 10s

5. There are some 8.1 patches needed by Ops
takes Miki time, probably sometime after beta

6. Named attack

for 8.1, we should probably go ahead with a patch even though
it is during crunch time. this would be only a named patch, no other
fixes.

[NOTE: comments during ACMG yesterday after the release team meeting
indicated that we should definitely go ahead.]

for 8.2, we want to investigate vendor patches. may end up
going with roll-our-own bind 8.1, named, etc.
