Jonathon,
     Thank you (and whoever else was involved in debugging this gotcha).
Without a fix to this NFS timeout problem, we would have been dead in the
water when trying to run GIS software in 1-115 from our Building 9
NFS servers for several Spring classes (11.188/11.520/11.949).

For anyone who missed the notification:

There was an Athena patch release last week (8.1.15).  Among other
things, it contained a fix to the NFS RPC timeout problem.  Once a
client workstation takes 8.1.15 you should not need to do anything
special while attaching an NFS locker to avoid these problems.  No
changes need to be made on the server.  To the best of my knowledge
all electronic classroom workstations have taken this update.
