8.1.10 cross out
8.1.11 2 weeks to general release
zip drives - problems with notification that the systems were actually
out; no one reported the problem with sgi chmod for some time; poor
testing
idle motd -- change from new 8.1 to normal background (roughly: if you
don't belong here, go away!)
o2 port - aim at beta (OS volume setup, update script 6.3->6.3, install
server) Nov. 1
We should put o2s in sipb, consulting, acst, and tps at this point -
mike to talk to vijay about funding 8 systems (vijay says okay; greg
points out that we should probably plan on a couple more for
developers/the zone)
Test cluster - new media center can clear out corner between brian and
alex. davis should be moved to corner near printer and andrew if
possible, it is used. the two pc workstations also may need to be
moved instead of being shutdown (talk to paul). (paul says one is
used, the other is broken--he needs to be involved in moving the one
that is working, it is a server)
MUST make provision for some test cluster space in e40 after N42 move.
