Re MAE- the bottom line is that we want to make sure that people making
use of MAE don't lose functionality in the new Athena release.
Could we therefore please do the following:
1. Do not upgrade any of the 2-032 machines, or the "planet" machines until
further notice. (Naomi may already have had conversations with the system
manager of the latter- I'm not certain).
2. I think afterburner is a consulting machine- have someone explain the
situation to them and ask if they want an auto-upgrade or not (I'll be glad
to do this).
3. Have one test machine upgraded and let me know when the fix for
Appletalk is installed on it so I can test mae and Keyserved Mac apps.
Mike says that there is one such called mae-test but I have no
idea where it is - could you let me know? (I might need to use one of
the 2-032 machines as test machine too as there might be some software
that can only be run from that location- is that big bother to do?).
4. If it "passes" we upgrade the rest of the machines; otherwise we don't.
