1. reactivate and boot scripts use
save cluster info - getcluster
/srvd/autoupdate
during update/boot, this can cause the new packs to be attached
for up to four hours while still not updated.
greg is working on a redo to correct this. We expect general release
to slide a week to about July 22.
2. talkd is still not working on SGI.
3. ewb on SGI--third party software in use for 16.85 does not work
with 24 bit option on x. We will revert to 8 bit for now. Probable
future resolution is to add xlogin option to allow user to select 8
bit if desired, and then make default 24 bit again.
4. sun tar doesn't make empty directories. Greg will redo for the
/var/lp/logs case which brought this up, and do some checking to see
if there are any other empty directories that disappeared when the
install changed from cpio to tar.
Bill will consider whether to complain to Sun about this or not.
5. Craig will check the cluster data for crash, alpha, beta to see
whether the t flag is correct or not.

SGI says all their engineers are working on bugs in IRIX 6.5, and
can't backport the fix for the gr2.a panic.
Bill will bring up the syslog bug with Sun.
The status of knfs was questioned. Still expected to be ready soon.
What's going on with windows nt was also asked. No one knows.
