1. xinfo - leave it as is for now. we will remove it from the
prelogin options, then phase out the program.
2. syslogd - greg has a patch dealing with this. also, wdc will
query sun about it.
3. f - we will document in the release notes that "f" has been
removed. If users want this kind of functionality, they should put
alias f finger
in their .cshrc.mine files.
4. talk is broken. greg is preparing a patch to correct the problems.
5. ops has questions about variables in rc scripts not being supported.
greg says newmailcf is the only one that has deliberately been removed.
ops will send mail about their list.
6. ez has a problem with psroff which is blocking printing.
7. The question of how to make a simple report of an OS bug to the
vendor was briefly discussed. Basically, we need to have clearer methods
for handling all bugs, and should be able to file a simple email report
of a vendor bug where appropriate.
8. the SIPB locker has been updated. this will affect people who use
/mit/sipb/@sys
9. in the near future, we'll start 8.2 release planning.
