Greetings everyone. Last week I attended a fabulously interesting and thou=
ghtful presentation about sexual assault at MIT. The featured speaker was =
Chacha Durazo, a current senior (known to many of you.) The next day I wa=
s raving at Michael about how amazing and powerful this presentation was, a=
nd he immediately got Chacha to agree to come up to Random to share her pre=
sentation with all of you. (Yay Michael!)
So I'm writing now to give you advanced notice: on Thursday, March 6, at 18=
:17, Chacha will be joined by Duane De Four from VPR (Violence Prevention a=
nd Response) in sharing experiences and insights around this important topi=
c. We'll have it in AiW because part of the content involves a video. Als=
o because of the hour there will be FOOD. Yes, food! Everyone's favorite.
I strongly encourage you to attend if you possibly can. We all need to und=
erstand the problem before we can be part of the solution. I guarantee you=
r time will not be wasted.
Nina
