Software decisions:
Decided on the second of three IPM configuration options proposed by Jeff
Banta. It includes two IPM servers (one production, one combined back-up
and test); 2 IP60s, 6 HPs, PPFA on test machine.

Hardware decisions, pending Peter Kelly's agreement:
RS/6000 44P Model 270, 375MHz processor, 256MB system memory, *(2) 9.1GB
SCSI disk drives, graphics adapter, 21"monitor, keyboard, mouse, SCSI
RAID** adapter, AIX 4.3, and maintenance. No dual power supply. Can be
expanded to 4 drives
*Storage required for GL for 3 days with space for other things.
**Redundant Array of Independent Disks

NOTES:
1. Advantages to Option 2: It is the least expensive, so can spend the $ to
make the backup/test server equal in size to the production server.
2. Disadvantages: one server for both backup and test.
3. Note that Option 3 includes licenses for 600+ HPs. We can wait on these
licenses - they are out of scope for this project. Needs to be a follow-on
delivery project.
4. Implication for test/backup machine if it's in E40 - clear text going
over the net.
5. Potential to outsource maintenance and support for AIX to Lighthouse.

ACTION ITEMS (Rocklyn)
1. Talk to Peter Kelly and get decision on IPM configuration, proposed
hardware, and who will do AIX maintenance.
2. Pursue kerberizing IPM w/E40 staff and Jeff Banta.
3. Pursue kerberizing client w/Banta and Colorodo IBM staff. SSLWEB option
can support only a limited number of printers. So in the long run, it's not
a good choice.
