    The Request was"

"Iam running the Tranarc AFS client on our Tru64 OS V5.1A. This is
Transarc's
AFS client SW. Iam having users who runs jobs which runs more than 24Hrs.
Is it possible to extend the token time and how is it? "

The following people answered immediately and many thanks:

     1.Rex A Basham
     2. Satish Kumar
     3. Paul Blackburn sent the following link with the comment:

use a re-authenticating daemon sharing the process authentication
group
with the process running > 24 hours.
I have used the "reauth.c" program for this.

You can find a slightly modified (it syslogs) mk-afs-reauth.c here:
   http://www.angelfire.com/hi/plutonic/images/authsendmail.tar.Z

    I have to try this.

   4. Atro Tossavainen (suggested to use reauth)

I forgot to mention that Iam NOT the AFS system administrator.
Our DEFAULT time limit for token is 24Hrs. I can not use kas command
since Iam not the administrator. Is there any other way to extend the
token
time in a long batch JOB? Sorry for my question again. I have to try the
    above program.

     Thanks in advance,
     Kumar
