Since I'm mailing anyway, I figured I'd mention I have a command
which sends GetTime requests to file servers to use instead of
'bos status' to tell if a server is up. We have had a server here
which locks up inside the device driver. We don't yet know
whether its hardware or software... but since the file server
just locks up, 'bos status' isn't enought to tell us the server
isn't responding.

The command sends GetTime requests to the server just like clients
send GetTime... It has parameters to indicate iteration, and parameters
to indicate time between iteration... it exits when it can't reach
the server...

... big deal... its only 150 lines long...
(that's 30 lines longer that rstat)
