Pardon me for interrupting today's rants, but I stopped getting Cypherpunks
mail from algebra.com yesterday, early morning. As my ISP was also having
outages of various sorts, I assumed the events were correlated, so I took
the absence of e-mail as a welcome respite.
However, algebra.com has refused to respond to majordomo requests. Anybody
know what's going on?
Today I resubscribed to the cyberpass.net instance of the list
(sirius.infonex.com, actually, which I assume cyberpass.net is aliased to
in some way). After half a day of zero messages, list traffic resumed (for
me) a couple of hours ago.
So, business as usual.
Was Jim Bell sentenced? Anyone hear anything? Yesterday, the 20th, was the
nth rescheduling of his sentencing....
Yesterday also saw a bunch of news reports out of Denver about militia and
neo-Nazi activities. Apparently a cop was killed, a skinhead shot himself,
and another skinhead admitted (this morning) to killing a black man just
because he was black.
(I hope my "blast from the past" of Bob Hettinga exhorting us to go to
Denver for some "street theater" had nothing to do with this latest round
of violence.)
