Thanks for reporting this.

SAGE is not maintained by IS&T -- it's a locker in the SIPB AFS cell, and is maintained by volunteers, per http://web.mit.edu/sage/www/

You may wish to contact the maintainers directly -- their contact information can be found on the web page.   That having been said, the locker installation of SAGE has not been updated since Ubuntu 10.04.   If you need to run SAGE on a current Athena machine, you may want to download it directly from http://www.sagemath.org/ and unpack it into your personal locker.
