What were you trying to do?
Launch thunderbird (by running "thunderbird" from a shell)
What's wrong:
I get an error message saying "Failed to read the configuration
file. Please contact your system administrator.", and Thunderbird then
immediately exits. I appear to have an old ~/.thunderbird, probably
from running Thunderbird on Athena 9, but erasing that directory and
trying again results in the same error.
This appears to be because debathena.cfg is installed in
/usr/lib/thunderbird and thunderbird is looking for it in
/usr/lib/thunderbird-3.0.8. Moving it to the latter directory fixes
thunderbird.
What should have happened:
I should have seen the thunderbird UI.

isn't something screwy with my account.)
