I guess you removed one layer of fuzz around the login box, but it
still looks fuzzy because the outside of the gradient is fuzzed.
I didn't notice anything had changed there until I looked again.

It looks like both Tim and I have expressed a preference to punt the
gradient, but nobody else has commented.  Don't know if someone else will.

The bar at the bottom is clever for making more space.  Switching from
flat buttons to native GTK was definitely a good move.
