A common challenge among thermographers is obtaining appropriate =
insurance coverage for their inspection activities. In addition to =
direct sales, websites can generate additional revenue through a concept =
known as affiliate marketing.
Ultrasound technology can now provide inspectors with a complete range =
of inspection, recording, analysis and reporting capabilities.
Used properly, the isotherm feature found on many infrared imagers can =
be utilized to spot potential condensation sites.
An accepted practice is to alter those surfaces with temporary coatings =
such as paint, electrical tape, or other materials that increase the =
emissivity.
The higher emissivity allows more accurate determination of the thermal =
patterns and more accurate measurement of the temperatures of the =
surface. The winner was the team that kept the marble on the =
rollercoaster the longest before hitting the floor.
Since the trend toward alternative dispute resolution cuts costs for the =
court as well as for the parties, it shows no sign of slowing.
This paper will review common deficiencies found in vessels and show how =
infrared imaging has become an effective tool in documenting the =
problems found during inspections. One possible solution is to mark =
targets with an ink pen with low emittance ink. The excellent return on =
