arsmen, as they kept time to it in their rowing; and, soft as the melody =
was, the strains were heard far and wide over the water and along the sho=

they considered the government on the side of which they were compelled t=
o engage as, after all a usurpation. At length a great final battle was f=
ought, which settled the controversy. Archelaus was slain upon the field,=
and Berenice was taken prisoner; their government was wholly overthrown,=
