Yeah, we do. That's the whole reason we talk on this forum. But wouldn't =
you want to take one of these issues and sit down at a table around a good =
burger and hammer things out? You have a great opportunity for this at the=
Student Technology Conference! BoF sessions are usually held during meals=
where we enjoy our favorite foods over a juicy conversation about our topi=
c of choice.

Want to get some input on what other campuses are doing for antivirus solut=
ions (or just air your complaints about your own)? Considering a vendor ch=
ange and want some experienced input? Want to hear some new management, le=
adership, or training techniques? Sure, you could just post this stuff her=
e on the forum, but in a BoF you get a face with the name, a business card,=
a meal, a handshake, and fast, easy input from across the nation.

The thing about BoFs is that, unlike a presentation or lecture, you don't h=
ave to lead it. Just propose it and try to convince some other people to c=
ome. If you don't, come anyway and see who shows up! I'd like to see some=
ideas laid out in advance and then we'll pull in some ideas during the con=
ference too.

Having trouble going to STC 2012? If your college is anything like mine th=
ey won't send someone to a conference just to attend. You have to be prese=
nting, leading, or contributing. Tell them you are "leading" a BoF session=
on your topic and you hope to bring back valuable information. Send out a=
survey and find out what the biggest problem or point of contention is for=
your client base, then pose a BoF on that.

Let me know if you have questions,
